Does Matthews & Matthews Treat Men and Woman Differently?

At Lewis & Matthews it doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman you’re going to get the same level of care. We are not biased one way or the other in terms of clients. We probably are about 50/50 in terms of male clients and female clients. On the other hand, every human being has different needs. Every human being has different ways they need to be taken care of in a case. There are some distinctions between, you could say, between men and women, but really it’s not between men and women it is just personality based.

We have some clients that really need a lot more time and attention. They have a lot of emotional distress with their case and they really need to talk a lot more about it, or they may need help with a coach that isn’t us that we can assist them to get. If you need more attention in a case, we’ll give you more attention in a case. If you’re somebody that really is very business-like and matter-of-fact and very sensitive to spending a lot of money on your case and you really just want the kind of communication that is necessary but certainly not more than that, then we’ll do that for you. We will insist on the level of communication that’s necessary in your case, but we will adapt to the personality of the person and the needs of the person. Whether you’re male or female you can rely on the fact that we’re looking to customize the case to you.

I think that it’s interesting that there are law firms that really do specialize in working with men or men’s rights, or specialize in working with only women. I think that it is a mistake to think that a case could be described that way. People are not all the same. You could have a man that really needs a very different type of level of attention. You could have a woman that’s extremely business-like, it really isn’t male or female based in my opinion. I understand that that is a marketing strategy out there and it’s perfectly fine. When you are here, you will get the attention you need regardless of what your sex happens to be.
